Arriving at Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete, we will head straight to the
historic quarter of Vegueta
, where we will take a walking tour through its streets full of culture and history.
After exploring Vegueta, we'll head to the
Poem of the Sea aquarium
in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This impressive
theme park,
which opened on 17 December 2017, will immerse us in the majesty of nature in three incomparable environments:
jungle, beach reef and deep ocean
.
The 12,000-square-metre facility features
35 marine and river ecosystems
from around the globe.
The aquarium pays tribute, with its name and architectural lines, to the
Canarian artist Néstor de la Torre,
who stood out in the avant-garde of the early 20th century, and his work "Poemas del Atlántico" (Poems of the Atlantic).
Here we can admire
the largest curved glass in the world
(a methacrylate weighing 140 tons, 36 meters long and 7 meters high), which exhibits some
350 species from 35 different ecosystems,
from sharks, piranhas, freshwater rays, crocodiles and sea dragons.
Our last stop will be the
Arehucas distilleries,
where we will learn the secret of the uniqueness of its rums, a
journey through the history, tradition and know-how of Arehucas.
During the visit we will explore
one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe,
made up of 4,308 American oak casks, some even signed by famous personalities.
Here we will be explained the process of elaboration of this drink, and we will enjoy it
tasting of rums and liqueurs
to end the day with a good taste in our mouths.
After this experience, we will return to Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete to take the ferry back to Tenerife.

Pick up will be at the closest meeting point to your hotel.
Required identity Documentation.
Participants must bring their identity document or passport, which will be required to board the Ferry.
Without it, boarding might be denied.
It is advisable to bring seasickness pills.
This activity is accessible for people with reduced mobility, provided their degree of disability allows them to board the bus on their own.
At some stops, the terrain may be uneven or have slopes, which can make the walk more difficult.
If bringing a wheelchair or another mobility aid, it must be foldable in order to be placed in the bus trunk.
